Gnome Elves Workshop ...

Image
Come ... let’s have a little peek into the gnome elves workshop .  We will peek through the snow dusted window and see  busy little gnome elves getting ready for the holiday season! I had a joyful time creating this card! I just love these Christmas Gnomes by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps! Such fun! Front of card ... I started with a heavyweight Kraft base measuring 3.5”x8.5”.  I stamped the Gnome Elves onto Neenah 110lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I let the ink set for a few hours and then I colored the Gnomes with Copic Sketch Markers. Once done I used my Brother Scan ’n Cut to cut out the stamped images. I then added some ‘Wink of Stella’ to create a little shimmer.  I cut the window slimline die three times {two in white and one in red} and glued them together. I took my acetate slimline sheet and used Brilliance Moon Light Ink to gently add some ‘snow dust’. After adding the snow dust I let the acetate sit for a few hours to make sure it was good and dr...

Witches Brew ...

Image
Hello everyone! I am sharing another Halloween Card today. I used the same PaperTrey Ink Merry Mug set as in the 'hug in the mug' card. I just love these mugs! This set of tumbling mugs seem to be filled with some sort of ... witches brew!  front of card ...  I started with a 3.5"x8.5" base of heavyweight My Favorite Things Black Licorice Prestige Cardstock. I cut a frame using the slimline scallop die from LDRS several times with cardstock and then once with patterned polkadot paper. I glue 4 layers together. I used a polkadot patterned piece and glued it underneath the frame. This gave the front of the card some depth.  I cut the mugs from Anna Griffith Halloween Patterned Paper. I Inked up the edges with Walnut Distress Ink. I die cut the 'whip cream' from heavyweight cream cardstock. I Inked it up with TH Fossilized Amber then inked up the edges with TH Vintage Photo. The 'sprinkles' are stamped with Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Carved Pumpkin ink. I ad...

you a hug in a mug ....  Hi Friends! Today I am sharing a card I made for National Coffee Day yesterday. I really enjoyed making this slimline card. I have ventured from card styles that make me comfortable. I returned to the style that I have enjoyed making for years. This card is a refection of what I enjoy about card making. It calls to me in so many ways. My mother was a wonderful decorator and loved decorating her home. She loved a little bit of country decor because she said it makes everyone feel welcome, comfortable and at home. This card reminds me of her and the comfort you feel with your hot cup of 'designer' coffee or a hot cup of cocoa! It reminds me of the warmth and comfort of my mother and of our homes. Okay enough nostalgia ... Let's get on with the making of the card. Front ... I started with a 3.5"x8.5" base of heavyweight Kraft Paper. I cut a frame using the slimline scallop die from LDRS several times with cardstock and then once with pattern...

A Boo to You ~

Image
Outside of Card .... My first Halloween Card of the season! I enjoyed using some old stuff from my stash as well as new.  Started with a 3.5"x8.5" Base card cut from Orange Zest Cardstock and layered a Anna Griffin halloween printed paper underneath my Slimline Circle Plate Die Cut, in Pineapple Cardstock from MFT. The Circle Plate die is from Gina Marie Designs. I used the I then cut another Circle Plate Die Cut in Black and used a circle punch to create the Black Moon. I cut black spiders with a shiny vinyl paper and stamped A boo to you and layered with other circle dies. I pulled out my Garden Party dies from Ink to Paper to cut a Halloween Banner out of black licorice and Anna Griffin Paper and offset just a tad. I popped two spiders at the ends instead of the 'normal' bows. I also cut a confetti banner from the same Garden Party Dies in the Orange cardstock and added some black rhinestones. Inside of Card .... I cut a rectangle piece of Anna Griffin Halloween pa...

Outside of card … Cut an Slimline sized card base {3.5”x8.5”} using Tooth Fairy Cardstock from My Favorite Things. Friends for all Seasons

Image
Friends for all Seasons Outside …  I started with a 4”x8.5” base out of Kraft Cardstock by MFT { https://mftstamps.com/collections/card-stock-specialty-paper/products/heavyweight-card-stock-kraft }. I love this postage die from Whimsy Stamps { https://whimsystamps.com/products/slimline-postage-die?_pos=1&_sid=0875b22ee&_ss=r } I cut one from heavy cardstock then I cut one from pattern paper. I glued them together with Art Glitter Glue { https://www.artglitter.com/collections/designerdriesclearadhesive } I save the cut outs as I like to use them later, if I do not use them now. I popped the postage cut out with low profile pop ups. I then glued the cut outs inside the windows. This gives the ‘windows’ a window shadow effect which I really like.  I stamped the Sweet Besties from My Favorite Things {retired} with Momento Ink { https://www.scrapbook.com/store/gb-tsmp900.html?utm_source=bing-shopping-feed&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=bing-free-shopping-feed...

Inspire, Create & Happiness

Image
Inspire, Create & Happiness This slimline card was inspired by all the people who  inspire me, with their creativity, on the daily bases. I am awe inspired by their creations and those creations make me happy ! I started with a 4”x8.5”{cut an 8.5" width of cardstock to 8" long and scored at 4"} base made out of Sweet Tooth Cardstock by MFT { https://mftstamps.com/products/heavyweight-card-stock-sweet-tooth?_pos=1&_sid=c75f0438e&_ss=r } and cut a piece of scrapbook paper slightly smaller for my layer. I love this picture frame die from Elizabeth Crafts { https://www.elizabethcraftdesigns.com/collections/planner-essentials/products/planner-essentials-24-photo-frame-pages }, it is actually a journaling die I just cut off the binder hole part of the die-cut. I cut the picture frame out of MFT Ripe Raspberry Cardstock { https://mftstamps.com/collections/card-stock-specialty-paper/products/ripe-raspberry-card-stock }. I then trimmed the excess journal pa...
